He recently embraced parenthood with his wife Alia Bhatt but all dads can learn from Ranbir Kapoor because he takes his role as a dad seriously and is every bit the doting dad to his daughter Raha as he is a husband to his wife Alia Bhatt. Ranbir is a proud new dad to his little daughter Raha who he says is a delight to have in his life.
The super dad Ranbir Kapoor can teach all new dads a thing or two about being a rockstar father! Here’s how:
Most new mums give up their dreams and careers once they have a baby as they are expected to be the nurturer, while the fathers continue with their careers. But Ranbir Kapoor thinks otherwise. During his film Shamshera’s promotions, Ranbir spoke to BabyChakra before the birth of his daughter Raha and said that he did not want his wife Alia Bhatt to sacrifice her dreams after having a baby. He said, “We grew up in a generation where our fathers were quite busy with work and were not around us, so more or less we’ve been brought up by our mothers, so we were close to our mothers. I want to have a different dynamic with my children, I want them to be close to me also.” No wonder then that Alai Bhatt says he’s the best!
In an interview at the Red Sea Film Festival, held recently at Jeddha, Ranbir said that the most important thing he wants to do for his daughter is set an example as he believes that a child learns more when they experience it.’ He wants to teach her things like equality, respecting elders, empathy, and kindness.
Ranbir Kapoor believes in equal parenting and said that when it comes to working, both he and Alia are working and since Alia is working more than him and is busy with work, he and Alia have decided to take parenting responsibilities equally. He said, “We will balance it out. When she takes work probably I’ll take a break. When I take work, she will take a break.”
Even though Ranbir Kapoor is currently enjoying his new real-life role of being a dad to Raha, and doing his dad duties, he makes sure he stays fit and takes care of his health. His boxing took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture with Ranbir, revealing that Ranbir didn’t skip his gym sessions even after becoming a dad. He wrote, “This guy probably had the best excuse not to hit the gym this week after the birth of his baby daughter. However, he didn’t skip a beat and smashed every single session. Congratulations once again @aliaabhatt #RanbirKapoor.”
Ranbir is a concerned dad and wants to be fit even when his kids turn 20! He said, “My biggest concern is that when my children are 20 I’ll be around 50, will I be able to play football with them, will I be able to run with them?”
In an interview with Indian Express, Ranbir Kapoor spoke about how he and Alia would balance work and home after the birth of their baby. He said, “We have to somewhere plan out a balanced life where we both can enjoy our personal life and our professional life, so it is one day at a time, one step at a time, but I have a lot of expectations from it.” Ranbir believes in taking time off work to spend time with himself and his family.
