Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor had quite an eventful 2022. From releasing back-to-back blockbuster movies, getting married, and welcoming their darling daughter Raha, the couple achieved quite a lot of milestones last year. The new parents are currently enjoying their blissful parenthood days, spending most of their time with their little sunshine.
While Alia is on maternity break right now, Ranbir is back to work and promoting his new film Tu Jhooti Mai Makkar, which is all set to release in March. Despite their challenging work schedules, the couple have maintained a balance between parenthood, their career, as well as personal time. For instance, Alia recently took to her Instagram account to share how she has been spending her me-time by indulging in self-care sessions with her sister, Shaheen Bhatt. She has also been enjoying her workout sessions to help regain her strength postpartum and sharing postnatal tips with new mums.
In a recent interview, Alia also reminded new mums to take it slow and indulge in little me-time sessions to avoid feeling overwhelmed and enhance their overall well-being. The couple have also been spotted taking their daughter out for walks and enjoying time together as a family. These simple practices give both parents ample time to connect with their baby individually and spend wholesome time together as a family.
If you are a new parent, you should definitely take cues from Ranbir and Alia’s parenting guide and try and prioritise self-care, while looking after your newborn and managing your career. You can also consider implementing the following tips in your daily life to avoid feeling burned out and being present for your kid.
To efficiently manage parenting, career, and personal time, you need to put a consistent routine in place and ensure that it works well both for you and your partner. This includes sharing your responsibilities equally, as that is one of the sole factors that helps both of you bond with your baby individually, and also as a family.
Before embracing parenthood, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that he is a strong advocate for #EqualParenting, and expressed his desire to be an equal supporter in the parenthood journey that he shares with his wife Alia.
The journey of parenthood is no easy feat, and it will take you quite some time to navigate through it. So don’t be too hard on yourself if you aren’t able to achieve a particular goal, and rather work on one task per day, instead of putting everything on your plate on a single day. This will help you accomplish your goals easily, and leave you with ample time to spend with your baby, or indulge in activities that you like, such as reading a book or working out.
It can be daunting for you and your partner to manage so many responsibilities together. So if possible, take breaks and schedule some fun family time when you can. Just going on a walk together or visiting the park can refresh your mind and make you feel recharged enough to take on any new challenges.
Parenting can take a toll on your energy levels, and hence, you must find ways to prioritise self-care. It is not just important for you, but for your family as a whole. Get creative, and find out new self-care practices that relieve your stress and keep you energised. You can also try looking for self-care practices that both you and your partner can enjoy together. This way you can spend some alone time together and keep the spark in your relationship alive.
We laud Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for keeping things real and showing that parenthood isn’t easy. We bet that many new parents will be able to relate to their journey and even implement tips shared by the couple to manage parenthood, and career while keeping a check on their emotional and physical health.
