The name Masoom Minawala Mehta has become synonymous with fashion. So much so that you cannot use the two words without each other. Armed with a diploma in fashion from the University of Arts, London, and an internship at Calvin Klein, Masoom set out to establish herself as an entrepreneur and fashion icon.
Today she is a global influencer, a successful investor, a fashion blogger, a digital entrepreneur and YouTuber. Masoom created history as the showstopper at Milan Fashion Week. Recently in May, she also walked the red carpet at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2022, where she flew her entire team!
This mum-to-be is among the most-followed fashion influencers. She started blogging in 2010 as Miss Style Fiesta and went on to feature on the covers of many magazines. She gives credit to herself for the inspiration and in an interview with Outlook India she said, “I myself was my inspiration to venture into the industry.”
An active philanthropist, she has founded a platform called Fashion Jobs India where fashion job seekers and employers can find each other. She promotes women’s empowerment via her social media accounts. She also believes in a minimalist, sustainable fashion and owning one’s style, “Own your individual style and just make sure you are not compromising on that and your comfort.” She believes that the world needs to adopt sustainable ways.
