On November 11, popular television actress Debina Bonnerjee and her husband Gurmeet Choudhary announced the birth of their second child, a baby girl. They shared the news with the world with the cutest post on Instagram, and also expressed their need for privacy, as their little girl arrived into the world prematurely, much sooner than the actor’s due date.
In the Instagram post for their fans and well-wishers, the couple shared, “Welcome our baby girl into the world. As ecstatic as we are about becoming parents again, we appreciate some privacy at this time, as our baby has come sooner into the world than due.”
As the actress got pregnant soon after delivering her first daughter, she has always referred to her second child as their “miracle baby” and has been candid about all the complications that she experienced during her second pregnancy. And now that Debina is back home with her second-born, she also opened up about her postpartum journey and shared the not-so-pretty side of pregnancy as well.
Debina posted a couple of Instagram stories showing her swollen feet and hands and her postpartum belly. In the images, she expressed, “It is so true…things that don’t kill you, only make you stronger. The last couple of months and days were just so trying…opinions, physical limitations, and procedural difficulties. I have survived them all. My postpartum belly, on the road to recovery. In the second story, the actress also added, “Currently having swollen hands and legs…Recovering, but taking each moment at a time, but positive.”
Lastly, she shared an adorable image of holding her young one’s hand and wrote, “And all is worth it when your little miracle is in your arms. I am stronger and braver than I have ever been”
To be honest, we admire Debina for always keeping it honest, and sharing her pregnancy and postpartum struggles to create awareness about what each woman’s body goes through during this phase. In fact, postpartum swelling is one of the common afterbirth symptoms that many women experience, which is caused by the accumulation of fluid in certain parts of the body.
While these symptoms may resolve on their own, you can take a few steps to reduce swelling in your body.
If you notice that your symptoms persist even after two weeks, or if you have sudden swelling in your hands and feet, then consult your doctor immediately.
Wishing our beloved actress Debina a super-speedy recovery so that she can quickly go back to cherishing precious moments with her two little ones and family members. Way to go Debina!
