Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli
Actor Anushka Sharma and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli took to their official Instagram pages, by sharing identical posts to announce Anushka Sharma’s pregnancy. The then parents-to-be looked elated, with a glowing Anushka Sharma showing off her baby bump for the photograph in a polka-dotted dress. “And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021 ❤️🙏,” read both posts’ captions.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli who like to keep their personal life private, maintained their privacy during the pregnancy and did not host a public baby shower. They welcomed their baby girl, Vamika, in January 2021 and announced their baby’s arrival with a heartwarming picture on social media, showing the couple in awe of their little one, while Vamika rested comfortably in her mother’s arms.
“We have lived together with love, presence, and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika, has taken it to a whole new level!” read the caption.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor
Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram account to share the news of her pregnancy with her fans. She shared a picture along with her husband Ranbir Kapoor as the couple went through sonography. “Our baby.. coming soon,” wrote the actress in her caption.
Alia’s second picture in her post interestingly featured two lions and a lion cub.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their daughter Raha on November 6, 2022. Raha’s name reveal was also unique, where once again Alia shared a glimpse of her baby girl without revealing her face, with a little football jersey with the name Raha written on it, in the background.
She wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path. In Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, In Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.”
Kajal Aggarwal And Gautam Kitchlu
Gautam Kitchlu tagged his wife, Kajal Aggarwal, in a photo that he shared on Instagram, in which Kajal wore a yellow coloured top, though her baby bump was not visible in the photo, the cleverly added pregnant-woman emoji in the caption was enough to let their fans know about the pregnancy!
The caption read, “Here’s looking at you 2022 🤰🏻🙌🏻”.
Kajal Aggarwal and her husband Gautam Kitchlu welcomed their baby boy on April 19 2022. The Singham actor announced her baby boy’s name by sharing a beautiful picture of herself from her maternity photoshoot. She also shared about her birthing and postpartum experience in the post.
“Excited and elated to welcome my baby Neil into this world. Our birthing was exhilarating, overwhelming, long, yet the most satisfying experience there could be! Holding Neil upon my chest covered with white mucous membrane and placenta within seconds of his birth has been my only tryst with self-actualisation and such an indescribable feeling! That one moment made me understand the deepest potential of love, made me feel tremendous amount of gratitude and realise the responsibility of my heart outside of my body – forever – and all at the same time,” wrote Kajal Agarwal.
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja
Sonam Kapoor announced her pregnancy in March 2022 by sharing an image of her lying on her husband Anand’s lap. She wrote, “Four hands. To raise you the very best we can. Two hearts. That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way One family. Who will shower you with love and support. We can’t wait to welcome you.”
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s baby shower too was one from story books! It was held in London, complete with a chic and dreamy decor.
They welcomed their baby boy Vayu on 20 August 2022. In an announcement post she shared on her social media she wrote, “We welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It’s only the beginning but we know our lives are forever changed.”
Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover
Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover announced in August 2022 that they were expecting their first child. They made the announcement by sharing a gorgeous picture from the actress’ maternity shoot. “A new time, a new phase, a new light adds another unique shade to our prism of life. Making us a little more whole than we used to be. We began this life individually and then we met each other and from then we were two. Too much love for only two seemed a little unfair for us to see… so soon, we who once were two will now become three,” they wrote.
While revealing the name of their daughter, the couple shared a beautiful picture of Bipasha and Karan Singh Grover’s hands holding two tiny feet. They wrote, “12.11.22. Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi
Dia Mirza shared the news of her pregnancy by posting a picture of her cradling her baby bump. She wrote, “Blessed to be… One with Mother Earth…One with the Life Force that is the beginning of everything… Of all stories. Lullabies. Songs. Of new saplings. And the blossoming of hope.Blessed to cradle this purest of all dreams in my womb.”
While Dia and Vaibhav kept their pregnancy journey and baby shower details private, Dia Mirza announced the birth of her son through an Instagram post, along with a heartwarming message.
In the post, she also shared about the challenges she faced during the pregnancy.
