After completing her education at IIM Calcutta, Meena Ganesh spent a decade in the corporate sector before turning into an entrepreneur. Today, Meena heads Portea Medical, India’s largest and fastest-growing home healthcare company, which she co-founded in July 2013. She was recently awarded the Kempegowda Award by BBMP for her contribution to the city of Bengaluru.

As head of India’s largest home healthcare company, Meena Ganesh worked around the clock to bring quality healthcare into people’s homes, while ensuring the safety of her employees as well.

Besides being a role model for women entrepreneurs, a successful businesswoman, and a team leader, Ganesh is actively involved in being a parent to her kids, Akshita and Atishay.

In an interview with Forbes, Ganesh spoke about her son who was at the time appearing for his 12th board. She said, “I take constant updates from him—from morning till night. I discuss which topics he studied, how much he got in his preparatory tests, why his marks were low in certain subjects, and what’s the plan to improve his grades.”
