We’ve compiled a list, comparing your baby’s size to easily recognisable fruits, pulses and vegetables. These photos will help you find the size of your baby.

 

Pregnancy Week 4:

Its a ball of 32 cells that’s about the size of a poppy seed(khus khus). It’s at this stage that the cells separate into three distinct layers from which your baby’s internal organs and skin will develop.

 

Pregnancy Week 5:

The ball of cells now resembles a tadpole and is as big as Apple seed. The creation of the brain, spinal cord, heart, and blood vessels is already well under way.
 

Pregnancy Week 6:

By six weeks, your baby is about the size of a sweet pea

 

 

Pregnancy Week 7:

Your baby is just doubled the size compare to last week, now its in the size of a blueberry. 

 

Pregnancy Week 8:

Now your baby is as big as raspberry. Weighing around 1gm. 

 

Pregnancy Week 9:

By week 9, your baby is in exact size of a green olive. 

 

Pregnancy Week 10:

Your baby now weighs about 4g, and the size can be compared to Kamquat. 

 

 

 

Pregnancy Week 11:

Your baby is as big as a lime now and weighs around 7g. 

 

 

 

Pregnancy Week 12:

Your baby is about the size of a plum and weighs roughly 14g. 

 

 

 

Pregnancy Week 13:

Your baby is the size of a lemon this week and his vocal cords are beginning to develop.

 

 

Pregnancy Week 14:

As you are entering your second trimister, your baby will be in the size of a Nectarine.

 

Pregnancy Week 15:

Your baby is now the size of an apple, he started moving, but don’t worry you may not feel this for next few weeks. 

 

 

 

Pregnancy Week 16:

This week your baby measures up to a avacado and weighs around 100g

 

 

 

Pregnancy Week 17:

Your baby weighs around 140g and now the size of a pear. 

 

Pregnancy Week 18:

Your baby is now the size of Bell Pepper and her fingers will now have finger prints. 

 

 

Pregnancy Week 19:

Your baby is about 240g and as big as Tomato. 

 

Pregnancy Week 20:

Your baby is now the size of Artichoke.

 

 

 

 

Pregnancy Week 21:

Your baby is now the size of Carrot and weigh about 360g.  

 

Pregnancy Week 22:

 Your baby is now the size of Papaya. 

Pregnancy Week 23:

 Your baby is now the size of Grapefruit, baby’s lungs are developed rapidly at this stage.

Your baby is now the size of an ear of corn. 

 

Pregnancy Week 25:

Your baby is now the size of an Rutabaga. 

 

Pregnancy Week 26:

Your baby is now the size of an Lettuce.

 

 

Pregnancy Week 27:

Your baby is now the size of an Cauliflower.

Your baby is now the size of an Eggplant.

Your baby is now the size of a Pumpkin and weighs less than 3.kg.

 

 

Note: Birth weight of healthy Indian babies is anywhere  between 2.5kgs and 2.9kgs.
