Banana is healthy, tasty and packed with nutrients. This humble fruit is great for kids as it gives them energy in their growing years. Here are some snack ideas all involving the BANANA!
Usually. my fruit basket is over loaded with bananas as we have a good plantation but my family (including me) are not banana lovers!! So, I ended up doing some experiments with the banana.
1. Banana Parathas
Method:Take a Roti/ Paratha/ Chapati, smear Peanut butter over it, and then spread mashed banana (for 1 paratha, you need 1/ 2 a ripened banana) Then, roll it and cut into small bites.. TADAA, you’ll love it!
2. Banana Ice cream
Method: Slice the bananas into small pieces and freeze for 5- 6 hours. Once frozen, put in a blender/ mixer with 1/4th cup milk (for 2/3 bananas- 1/4th cup milk) and give a nice blend. Take out in a bowl, add choco chips or grated dark chocolate and Serve it. Yum!
3. Eggless Banana pancakes
Method: Ripened banana- 2 cups, All purpose flour- 1/4th cup, Rice flour- 1 cup, Semolina- 2-3spoons. Mix all things together, leave for 10mins and start making pancakes. Once cooked serve it with Hershey’s Chocolate syrup or honey. My kiddo is a big fan of the pancakes.
In pic- this is one week old pic- banana pancakes with choco spread..
Enjoy, give us your banana ideas too!
