Halloween is coming and what better way to talk about this festival than via books!!!
Halloween is a western festival though it’s now started gaining popularity even in India.Every year it is celebrated on 31st October.
So to talk about Halloween I picked up these 5 books for my toddler!
This is a classic Julia Donaldson picture book and it’s one of our favourites otherwise also.
This is about a kind witch who offers rides on her broom to helpful animals.
THE ITSY BITSY PUMPKIN
This book is along the classic and our favorite nursery rhyme Itsy Bitsy Spider…so it’s perfect for Halloween and it is fun for younger kids.
BIG PUMPKIN
This is another all-time favorite book about how a witch grows a pumpkin but it’s so big that it’s stuck and can’t be removed so she takes help from (other Halloween characters) to remove it.
It’s good as all about Halloween is condensed in this book.
WHERE IS MY MUMMY
This book is about a baby mummy who doesn’t want to sleep as yet so plays hide and seek and who initially isn’t scared but then when he hears an animal sound gets scared and wants his mummy…the illustrations in this book are just amazing.
But my favourite book this Halloween is CREEPY CARROTS
This is a super cute story is about Jasper rabbits and his love for carrots that he would pluck and eat all the time until the carrots start to follow and scare him till he gives them up and their plan works!!
Hope u guys love reading to them as I have…
These books are easily available online or a local library would have them, if not then u can even find Youtube videos of these stories being told!
Until next time
Happy reading!
Happy Halloween!
