A missed period is only an indication of pregnancy and not a confirmation as there are other reasons that a female may miss her periods.
.
I am mentioning in this post a few tests that you can perform free of cost at your home with your daily kitchen items and confirm your pregnancy and thereby take necessary precautions.
.
Taking a urine pregnancy test or confirming with doctor will cost you a price. You can thereby do these home tests before taking tests which will cost you.

.
1. Sugar Pregnancy Test: Take one tablespoon of sugar in a bowl and add one tablespoon of urine in it. If the sugar starts forming lumps then you are pregnant. If the sugar dissolves quickly then you aren’t pregnant
.
2. Baking Soda Pregnancy Test: Take two tablespoons of baking soda in a bowl and add two tablespoons of first sample of your morning urine to it. If you see bubbles coming out like you see when you open a soda bottle, then you are pregnant
.
3. Dettol Pregnancy Test: In a bowl take one tablespoon of Dettol and add three tablespoons of urine into it. If Dettol mixes into the urine you are not pregnant. If urine forms a separate layer on the top, you are pregnant
.
4. Salt Pregnancy Test: In a bowl take some urine sample and add a pinch or two of salt into it. If the salt reacts with urine to form a creamy white clump, you are pregnant
.
5. Storing urine Pregnancy Test: Collect urine in a clean glass jar and let it stand for a day. If you observe a thin layer on the surface of the sample collected, there is a strong likelihood of pregnancy
.
.
How does the above home pregnancy test work?
Any pregnancy test works on the level of hCG hormones which is present in the urine of a pregnant woman and its reaction with said elements.

Check with minimum two methods to ensure accurate results. Also be known that the results may not be correct for women suffering from hormonal imbalance.
