#DrBhavi#Vrudhi#Holistichealth#diwali#learnings#goodoverbad Diwali is all about happiness and joy and good learning. Happiness is just as important in holistic well-being as is medication and treatment. With Holistic health being in focus, let’s talk about what Diwali teaches us. Do away with negativity
We clean every nook and corner of our house from top to bottom and throw away the unwanted litter. Just like that, cleanse your inner soul and get rid of every negative thought or feeling inside yourself. Negativity is like plague; it destroys you. Sharing is Caring
Open your hearts and share not just sweets and gifts, but also good will and happiness. Invite your house help with family and share a nice meal with them. Happiness multiplies when shared. Family is strength
The positive energies that combine during a Diwali or festive gathering always create a good aura around your home. Enjoy the festivities in the company of your friends and family for a home radiating with positive vibes. Patience is virtue
The patience with which we decorate our homes and our surroundings during Diwali is wonderful. The love and patience with which we cook sweetmeats despite the heat in the kitchens is commendable. Let this patience be a part of your lives always. New beginnings
Diwali is when we buy new clothes and vessels and gold. This Diwali look within and bring a new positive change in yourself. Make a beginning to look after your health. Make a start and learn a new skill. Start from within and then move to the outside. http://drbhavimody.com/
Allergies and Asthmatic attacks see a surge during Diwali. With the cold and fog setting in and the fumes from crackers chocking the already polluted air, breathing becomes difficult. Today we share some simple remedies or precautions one can take to tackle breathlessness. Masks – Use medical masks while stepping out of the house. Lukewarm lime water – Squeeze half a lime in a glass of warm water and add a teaspoon of honey. This is a great way to flush out the toxins in your system and also acts as an anti-allergy agent. Eucalyptus or Ajwain with cinnamon steam inhalation or baths - Use a drop or two of eucalyptus oil or Cinnamon in your bath water to help unclog the blocked nose. Eucalyptus has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and is great for sinus and blocked nasal passages. Tumeric – The humble Haldi has great antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Have a teaspoon full of turmeric in hot milk and feel your immune system building. Honey with Turmeric is a super combo.
