Asking for a friend:
I am having a lot of fights with my husband since my husband wants to opt for Laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery.
He is 5’9” and 170kgs at the moment.
He has been obese since childhood and he feels he has tried everything to lose weight and he hasn’t yet. He isn’t consistent with either diet or exercise but he has decided he wants to go for the surgery.
I am against it since I am worried it may cause surgical complications plus could also impact mineral and vitamin absorption, thereby causing other future possible health issues.
The husband is very keen on doing the surgery.
If you have anyone in the family who has had the surgery, can you please weigh in on your experience so that we can decide on how to proceed further?
